School Vision 2010 Green Bay School’s vision statement is “Grow the heart, the mind and the spirit”.
The school staff, Board of Trustees, parent body and students have spent the last two years reviewing our school charter in line with the revised NZ Curriculum. We have heard from all groups especially about our school vision statement and our values.
Through this process our vision “Grow the heart, the mind and the spirit” has been reconfirmed.
As part of the ongoing process we asked the students to enter a competition and draw what they thought our vision statement could look like in pictures. These were judged by a panel of experts including a graphic designer, an architect and a web designer. After much deliberation, the panel chose the winning entries shown in the following photographs.
Our plan is to get a graphic designer to work with these winning designs and synthesise a final design that will be our school’s vision in a visual metaphor. We hope to use this design around our school and on our website. Watch this space for future developments!
