During term 2 in room 24 we are learning about ‘how to keep ourselves safe’. We are starting our journey by looking at all the things that we need to consider to keep ourselves safe. Already the children have identified their own areas of interest including awareness of strangers, safety on the roads, how to stay safe at school and safety around fire and water.
Later in the term we will also be exploring how to safe during natural disasters, especially volcanoes and earthquakes.
We will keep you updated about our learning journey!
Homework:
A number of parents have enquired about homework. The syndicate policy for homework at year 2 level includes:
Daily reading – using school reading books and/or books from home.
Weekly spellings
Maths - the maths knowledge sheets provided at the goal setting evening provides an outline of what children are working on. If you wish to practice maths at home, this will help your child to consolidate their maths knowledge.
