Here are some Mathematics ideas to keep you busy if our school is closed:
  • Follow a recipe - cook something with an adult for your family.
  • Set the table, counting in two's
  • Collect bottle tops etc and make a repeating pattern.
  • Make up number stories with toys or lego.
  • Practice counting forwards and backwards to 100.
  • Practice skip counting in two's, fives's and ten's.
  • Find shapes in the house and garden.
  • How many nursery rhymes with numbers can you find?
  • Play board games.
  • Practice making 5 and 10 combinations with playing cards.
  • Draw around your hands, number the fingers 1-10 and practice combinations within 10.
  • Make colour by number pictures.
  • Measure your family with string.
