Here are some Mathematics ideas to keep you busy if our school is closed:
- Follow a recipe - cook something with an adult for your family.
- Set the table, counting in two's
- Collect bottle tops etc and make a repeating pattern.
- Make up number stories with toys or lego.
- Practice counting forwards and backwards to 100.
- Practice skip counting in two's, fives's and ten's.
- Find shapes in the house and garden.
- How many nursery rhymes with numbers can you find?
- Play board games.
- Practice making 5 and 10 combinations with playing cards.
- Draw around your hands, number the fingers 1-10 and practice combinations within 10.
- Make colour by number pictures.
- Measure your family with string.
