This term, our Learning Pathways topic is 'Responsible Consumerism'. We are looking at the big question, 'How do we use stuff sensibly?' We have talked about what it is to be responsible and what a consumer is. We have looked at our 'needs' and 'wants'. We can talk about the stages of stuff, using the words, 'Extraction, Production, Distribution, Consumption and Disposal. We can talk about these ideas through the process of making ice-cream, bread and chocolate. we are now looking at advertising, child labour and fair trade.
