Last term we had lots of fun learning all about our Pacific Neighbours.  We really enjoyed this topic and it was great to be able to share our learning at our Pacifica day at the end of the term.

This term we are learning how we stay safe.  We already have some great ideas about when we might not be safe.  You could discuss these ideas further with your child at home.

“If we are in the care and we have not got on our seat belts”

“If there is a tsunami – that’s a tidal wave – a big, big wave that smashes into our classroom.”

“If we leave home without telling mummy or daddy”

“If we are in the bath, shower, pool, spar or near water without telling an adult”

“If we are in the kitchen and we touch something like the oven – it might be hot you know!”

“If I eat something that I am allergic to”

“If there is a busy road and we don’t have a mummy or daddy with us”

“If we are in the garage or bathroom and we find something that looks like lollies or yummy drink and we eat and drink it – you might get sick you know!”
