Welcome to Fantastic Room 22!

We are a Year 2 class with 9 boys and 13 girls. The teacher is Kathy.
We have had a busy first term with getting to know each other, doing lots of the 3 Rs, fitness, swimming, art and music. The children had a visit from Constable Carl  to help with our "Keeping yourself safe" .

In term 2 we are focusing on our topic"How has West Auckland changed over the last 50 years?" and particularly how the school has changed since it is coming up to its 50th Jubilee.
We are having a trip to Motat in week 4, and a Grandparents' Day with Kowhai Syndicate in week 6. Later on in the term, we will be having a whole school dress-up day from the 60's.

A big thank you to parents who have helped in any way-all help is very much appreciated. We would wecome help for our sewing and hard technology.
